If I don’t feel ready on the day of my exam, what should I do?

If it’s the day of your exam and you truly do not feel prepared, it is usually better to postpone rather than risk using an attempt.

You have two options:

Option 1: No-Show

If you do not attend your scheduled exam (even if you arrive and decide not to go in), it will not count as an exam attempt.

After 24 hours, you can log back into your UBC portal and rebook a new exam date.

Option 2: Cancel Your Exam

You can officially cancel your exam through the UBC system.

However:

You will not receive a refund
You will need to pay the exam fee again when rebooking

Failing the exam does count as one of your two attempts.
A no-show does not count as an attempt - but you will still lose the exam fee.
